Insulation is reinforced with 1" x2" 14gauge galvanized weldedsteel wire. Insulation between all drawers makes each drawer a separate insulated container. All exterior steel panels are replaceable in the field in the event of minor damage. The environmentally friendly, electrostatically applied powder coat paint gives the FireKing Vertical File a scratch, scuff, and stainresistant finish. A fivestage prefinishing treatment provides unmatched adhesion and rust resistance.Vertical file with safe meets UL "Record Protection Equipment" classification, which includes a onehour fire test of 1700 degrees fahrenheit, a 2000 degrees fahrenheit explosion hazard test, and a 30foot impact test. Drawer bodies are built with high sides for use with hanging folders, and divider rails are provided to allow for a variety of filing configurations. Drawer heads are formed of welded steel, and filled with our specially formulated gypsumbased insulation. Drawer heads are designed for a tight interlock with the cabinet frame- making it extraresistant to heat transfer. Cradle drawer suspensions are securely mounted with screws to metal posts in the file body. Medeco keylocks are ULrated to resist picking and drilling. Because keys cannot be duplicated - except through FireKing - access is limited to authorized keyholders only. Drawer pulls are made of bright chromeplated zinc and contain integral indexcard holders. Safe is loctaed behind top faux drawer front. Inner safe door is 1/4'' steel, and has a ULlisted Group II combination lock.
